I do, that’s who!
Do you?
I bet you do.
Deep down inside, I think most people do care, many care a lot.
But sometimes it is easy to wonder if anybody really does care anymore.
So often we just seem lost as a country, to prone to shout at each others and rail against what we hate.
Or maybe more likely, to just shut down and turn away.
I understand, it can be hard to handle, and solutions can seem so far away, if not impossible to see. But turning away and shutting down just lets the shouters win.
Loud rage drowns out thoughtful solutions, and we all lose.
We need think about what we want our country to be, how we want to live and treat one another.
We need to focus on solutions, and away from division.
Because I think a lot of America really does care but is too battered to speak up.
We need the quiet voices to join together, calling for a hopeful future for our country.
We must all think about our lives, and the lives and futures of our children and the children we care about.
How do we define the American social contract and what is the American Bedrock we built it upon?
It really seems like it is now or never.
